Police have issued a further appeal for witnesses following the death of a man stabbed on Uxbridge Road on Saturday.

A murder investigation continues after police were called at around 19:50 hrs on Saturday, 6 April, to a disturbance and a man stabbed in Uxbridge Road at the junction with Singapore Road, West Ealing.

Officers attended along with ambulance colleagues. They found a critically injured 39-year-old man. Despite the efforts of emergency services, the man sadly died at the scene.

DCI Laura Nelson, Specialist Crime, is leading the Met's investigation. She said: "This senseless murder arose from what appears to have been a minor dispute inside a pub. The dispute spilled outside where the victim was fatally stabbed.

"Although formal identification has yet to take place, we believe we know the man's identity and have informed his family. I send my most sincere condolences to them.

"It is crucial that anyone who was in the pub on Saturday night who may have seen anything significant makes contact with police and tells us what they saw. I also need to hear from anyone who recorded mobile phone footage which may have captured the disturbance, the build up to it or the aftermath."

Three people were arrested near to the scene in connection with the investigation. They have been released with no further action.

Any witnesses or anyone with information are asked to call 101, ref 6624/06apr. To remain anonymous, please contact the independent charity Crimestoppers.
