FOLLOWING last year's success, the Queen of the Suburbs challenge hosted by Ealing Half Marathon is set to return in April.

At last year's inaugural event, competitors ran and walked around 13 Ealing parks.

This year however the event is open to anyone worldwide, contestants aren't just limited to running and walking in Ealing Borough.

The challenge starts on April 1 and you have the whole month to complete it.

Once competitors have ticked off 13 parks, they receive a Queen of the Suburbs medal in the post.

The challenge fee for UK entrants is £15.79 total, with international fees rising a bit higher to £21.05.

Race Director Sandra Courtney told Nub News: "After the amazing success of last year's sell out event, we are really excited to bring back a second instalment of our Queen of the Suburbs virtual challenge this April.

"This one is for all ages and abilities and gives people the opportunity to get out and about into their neighbourhoods and revisit some of their favourite spots but also discover new ones.

"The buzz on social media from the last event was amazing and we loved seeing people having fun while taking part.

"It's a great community event and hopefully there will be lots of April sunshine for us all while we're out and about".
