KEEPING up a festive tradition, Drama Studio London (DSL) will once again ensure hundreds of primary school children across Ealing can enjoy panto season this Christmas.

The specialist performance studio is part of the University of West London (UWL) and is continuing to work to build artistic collaborations across the community and inspire a love for the performing arts.

Despite fears that COVID restrictions would put a halt to their annual performances this year, actors are now all set to bring some sparkle to 2020 as they take Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Christmas Stories from Around the World and The Nutcracker to schools across the borough and help end the school term on a festive high.

Emma Lucia Hands, Interim Head of School at DSL, said: "We all understand that Christmas can't be the same this year, but it's wonderful that DSL is able to carry on with this cherished tradition.

"It's a great opportunity for our actors to have lively and appreciative audiences and for us to continue our work with the University of West London to share a love of the performing arts in children across Ealing."

Sarah Mears, Deputy Head of Grange Primary said: "The children love having the pantomime visit each year as it feels like the official start to Christmas.

"The actors really engage with the children and they come away from the panto buzzing with excitement."
