AN Ealing woman has organised a guided hike across Chiltern Hills this Saturday, June 5, and is looking for more participants from Ealing.

Miriam Ferrarin who lives in South Ealing first created her walking group, Postcards from UK, at the end of 2020.

The third national lockdown however halted her plans until March 29, when government restrictions were eased and group walks were allowed to restart.

Although Miriam has conducted several walks, she wants to get more Ealing residents involved, so for her latest hike, she's set the meeting point at Ealing Broadway station.

She told Ealing Nub News: "I love Ealing and the people here and I think it's a great opportunity for people to bond with their neighbours, so I'm keen to get more people from Ealing involved."

The group will get the train from Ealing Broadway to Henley on Thames on Saturday morning at 8:45am and return back to Ealing later that evening at 6:50pm.

They will hike a distance of 13 miles (20km) from Henley to Cookham, via a stop in Marlow to visit the famers' market.

Miriam said: "I visited the area a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with it, it's so beautiful.

"The whole area of Chiltern Hills is designated as an official Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, so I think it's the perfect place for a hike.

"It's a relatively long trek but it isn't too difficult, so you don't have to be an experienced hiker to be able to do it."

Price is £27 and that includes the cost of the train tickets and the guide.
