EALING Summer Festival has announced plans to go ahead this summer.

The festival will host some of the best musical and comedic acts Ealing has to offer and there will also be Ibiza nights, cinema screenings and activities for all ages.

The Summer Festival was cancelled last year due to COVID-19 restrictions, but will be going ahead this summer with certain measures in place.

It will run from July 16 to August 7 and will include various events and acts such as Ealing Summer Feast, Comedy Festival and Walpole Live.

Lucca Joy, the Event Producer at Ealing Summer Festival, told Ealing Nub News: "The Ealing Summer Festivals are part of Ealing's heritage and something that brings the community together annually, so last year's cancellation was devastating.

"We are really excited to be coming back this year, celebrating Ealing, its cultural roots and giving everyone something to look forward to.

"Most of us will be spending our holidays at home so we have created a staycation in the city!"

"This year will be slightly different due to new procedures we have put in place to keep people safe and we would not go ahead with the event if we didn't think we could do so safely."

The festival will follow all government guidance, such as social distancing, reduced capacities, spaced queuing, regular sanitation and face masks.

Lucca added: "Ealing Summer Festival is for the people of Ealing, a tradition and a place to celebrate togetherness and community.

"We hope people take away an incredible festival experience that they can be proud of, which happens on their own doorstep."
