Nominate local sporting heroes in the Ealing Sports Awards 2022

Nominations for the Ealing Sports Awards 2022 are now open and local people have the chance to ensure that the borough's sporting heroes get the recognition they deserve for their work in the community.

The annual awards are run by Ealing Council and local leisure provider Everyone Active and celebrate the commitment, talent and achievements of Ealing's sports clubs, inspirational volunteers and fantastic sporting individuals.

Nominations are being welcomed in nine categories:

Junior club of the year

Sports Club of the year

Coach of the year

Adult volunteer of the year

Junior volunteer of the year

Outstanding contribution to sport

Inclusive sports award

Junior sports person of the year

Adult sports person of the year

Categories are inclusive, and are open to any club, organisation, group, association, partnership or individual based in the borough. Councillor Jasbir Anand, cabinet member for thriving communities said: "We are lucky to have a borough with a thriving sports scene and a great number of grass roots clubs, organisations, teachers, volunteers, trainers and instructors, helping people stay healthy, happy and active through sport. "This is the chance to help give them rightful recognition, so if you know a person, or organisation that you think deserves to be celebrated, nominate them for the Ealing Sports Awards today." Nominations will close at midday on Tuesday 3 May 2022 and winners will be announced at an awards ceremony over the summer. Visit the Everyone Active website for further details and to make your nomination.
