Ealing: Southall drug dealer jailed for possession of class A drugs and dangerous driving

A drug dealer from Southall was jailed for possession of class A drugs worth hundreds of thousands of pounds, following a car pursuit in April.

Jatinder Sahota, 27, was charged for possession with intent to supply class A drugs, possession of cocaine and dangerous driving, after he was found in possession of cocaine, crack cocaine and heroine totalling 9.82grams and worth £870.

Four blocks of heroine with a street value of £197,900 were also found in the vehicle Jatinder had been driving.

The arrest took place on Thursday, 15 April, when police officers on patrol in Southall noticing a car acting suspiciously.

According to Ealing Police, the officers, in an unmarked vehicle and in plain clothes, indicated for the vehicle to stop, which it did on the side of the road.

As the officers exited their vehicle and approached the driver, the car sped off at full speed, nearly hitting the constables.

A short distance later the suspects' vehicle collided with two parked vehicles and then drove at sped down a footpath, making an officer on foot jump out of the way.

Police say the driver, Jatinder of Townsend Road, Southall continued to try and evade the officers, however the car got caught and trapped between a lamppost and wall.

Jatinder was detained and searched and found in possession of class A drugs.

On September, 30 at Isleworth Crown Court he was sentenced to 4 years and 3-months imprisonment and disqualified from driving for 32 months.
