EALING has seen an increase of just over 2% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released earlier today.
This comes after it was announced that Ealing, along with the rest of London will be going into Tier 3 from Wednesday.
In the week of November 30 to December 6, Ealing saw 597 new positive cases, compared to 584 the week before.
That figure represents an increase of 2.2%, with 13 more new cases.
That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 174.7, compared to 170.9 the week before.
Those figures are now lower than the average across London, but higher than the average across England.
London as a whole had 17,827 new cases during the week of November 30 to December 6, which represents 198.9 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
England saw 87,903 new cases during the same week, correlating to 156.2 cases per 100,000 people.
