EALING has seen a decrease in new coronavirus cases for the fourth consecutive week.

Specifically, there was a decrease of over 28% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of February 1 to 7, Ealing saw 1,005 new positive cases, compared to 1,409 the week before.

That figure represents a decrease of 28.7%, with 404 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 294.0, compared to 412.2 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England, however.

London as a whole had 16,306 new cases during the week of February 1 to 7, which represents 181.9 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 105,793 new cases during the same week, correlating to 188.0 cases per 100,000 people.
