EALING has seen another sharp decrease in the number of new coronavirus cases, with figures dropping for the 12th consecutive week.

Specifically, there was a decrease of over 38% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of March 29 to April 4, Ealing saw 104 new positive cases, compared to 170 the week before.

That figure represents a decrease of 38.8%, with 66 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 30.4, compared to 49.7 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across London but lower than the average across England.

London as a whole had 2,023 new cases during the week of March 29 to April 4, which represents 22.6 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 18,269 new cases during the same week, correlating to 32.5 cases per 100,000 people.
