EALING has seen a decrease in new coronavirus cases for the third consecutive week.

Specifically, there was a decrease of over 34% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of January 25 to 31, Ealing saw 1,409 new positive cases, compared to 2,165 the week before.

That figure represents a decrease of 34.9%, with 756 fewer new cases.

That means there was also a decrease in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 412.2, compared to 633.4 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across both London and England however.

London as a whole had 25,289 new cases during the week of January 25 to 31, which represents 282.2 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 144,809 new cases during the same week, correlating to 257.3 cases per 100,000 people.
