EALING has seen an increase in the number of new coronavirus cases for the fifth consecutive week.

Specifically, there was an increase of over 3% of new cases in the latest COVID-19 figures that were released.

In the week of June 14 to 20, Ealing saw 295 new positive cases, compared to 286 the week before.

That figure represents an increase of 3.15%, with nine more new cases.

That means there was also an increase in the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, with 86.3, compared to 83.7 the week before.

Those figures continue to be higher than the average across London but are now lower compared to those nationwide in England.

London as a whole had 7,629 new cases during the week of June 14 to 20, which represents 85.1 new cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

England saw 59,188 new cases during the same week, correlating to 105.2 cases per 100,000 people.
