Ealing has been ranked top tier in a report of the best and worst places to live in England and Wales this year.

Property finder company, Garrington, has published its 2024 marketing report for England and Wales.

The report ranks the 1,429 towns, cities and villages on measures covering five categories.

These categories are natural environment, wellbeing, heritage/culture, schools, employment and connectivity and house price quality and value.

Garrington also lists the average family home cost and average sales price change across the last 12 months in each settlement.

Where does Ealing rank?

Out of the 1,429 places, Ealing has been ranked 339 overall.

Of all the categories, Ealing ranks highest for its heritage and culture nearly making the top 100 with 117.

The town fares worst for its wellbeing ranking at 1063.

House price quality and value is ranked at 1002, natural environment sits at 535 and schools, employment and connectivity ranks at 154.

According to Garrington, the average family home cost in Ealing is £1,014,449 with the average sale price rising by 1.2% in the last year.

Neighbouring towns such as Richmond faired better, landing the 177 spot in the list, but Hounslow ranked worse with 848.
