A private health clinic in Ealing has been put under special measures after a visit by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in September.

In a report published last week, CQC deemed West London Diagnostic Limited to be "inadequate" and insisted on "urgent suspension" of its registration as a service provider.

Based in Ealing Physio practice in South Ealing, West London Diagnostic Limited provides a variety of services including ultrasounds and musculoskeletal scans.

Inspectors who visited West London Diagnostic Limited on September 9 rated its level of care "good", but not safe or well-led.

As well as insufficient audit processes, they found poor cleaning processes at the clinic including an "ultrasound machine which was visibly dirty".

The inspector has issued a number of improvements that the clinic must make which can be read in the full report.

It will inspect the clinic again within six months and determine whether sufficient improvements have been made or further action is required.
