THIS year has been difficult for most industries, but one industry in particular has flourished and that is the streaming platform industry.

Throughout the duration of 2020 Netflix has released a large number of original films and shows, with 'Death to 2020' being one of the latest additions on the streaming service.

'Death to 2020' is a mockumentary that features a series of fictional characters discussing US and UK events of 2020 including the COVID-19 pandemic and US presidential election.

The special was released on December 27 and has consistently been on Netflix's UK Top 10 since then.

One of the characters interviewed is Gemma Nerrick - one of the top five most average citizens in the world - played by Diane Morgan.

Around halfway through the film, Nerrick's location comes up as 23 Rashford Way, Ealing.

Although the address is fictional, it is still unclear why Ealing was chosen as the location for one of the most average citizens worldwide.

Ealing has historically been known as the 'Queen of the Suburbs' due to its large number of open green spaces and due to its location halfway between the city and the country.

Our town is far from average.
