UNIVERSITY of West London (UWL) healthcare experts will train vaccinators across London this month, it has been announced.

Expert nursing and midwifery lecturers are ready to deliver training and prepare volunteers to give intramuscular injections for the Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust – the body behind the rollout of vaccination hubs across North West London.

The efforts will help ensure thousands of volunteers can safely deliver the vaccine as part of the UK's largest ever inoculation programme – while also giving students from UWL's College of Nursing, Midwifery, and Healthcare (CNMH) a chance to be part of activity and further enhance their experiences of working with the NHS during the pandemic.

Charmagne Barnes, Dean of the CNMH, said: "We work incredibly closely with Health Education England and our healthcare partners locally, and to be able to share our skills and expertise to make a difference to this vaccine rollout is something we are incredibly proud of.

"All of our staff and students deliver so much, and this is yet another way in which we can give back and ensure we are having real impact with what we can deliver in north west London and across Berkshire."
