A new deli has opened its doors in Ealing in the last couple of days.
Andy Harris is the proud owner of the Ealing Grocer, located on St Mary's Road.
Harris, who used to work as a magazine food and travel editor, told Nub News: "I've lived in Ealing for a very long time and I thought the area deserved a really amazing deli."
The 63-year-old who used to work for Jamie Oliver decided to open his new business only a few months ago, as his website, vinegarshed.com really took off.
"During the pandemic people have turned towards helping their local shops and I've always been a great believer of supporting your neighbourhood shop.
"So I thought, why not, and I decided to open the Ealing Grocer," he added.
Harris grows his own products, but also imports foods from across the UK and Europe.
He said: "I make my own products, including vinegar, but I won't just be selling those, it'll be the best products from across the UK and Europe.
"Ealing residents had to travel across London to get certain premium products, but now they can get them right on their doorstep."
The deli had its soft launch on Friday, but officially opened its doors to the public on Saturday and Harris is thrilled with the reception it's got so far.
He said: "We've had lots of people come in, they're very excited to have this sort of shop in the neighbourhood.
"I want to create this European atmosphere where people come shop with us every day, just like they do throughout Europe, not just once a week at a supermarket like the British public does."
