Ealing: Garden waste collection to continue until June for the borough’s green-fingered residents

The window to subscribe to Ealing Council's garden waste collection service has been extended to ensure everyone has "enough time to make the transition".

How green-fingered residents in Ealing sign up to the borough's garden waste collection is changing but an initially tight registration deadline risked leaving some of the borough's gardeners out in the cold.

Under the new sign up system, residents who currently subscribe to the service will not receive this year's invoice and any payments by direct debit will be cancelled.

Subscribers who plan to renew for the 2022/23 service year must sign up by the new deadline, June 1, but in the meantime should continue to present their garden waste for collection as usual.

If payment has not been made by June 1, garden waste collection will stop.

Options to pay for the service by direct debit or quarterly instalment have been stopped, with the annual payment of £82.07 required at sign-up.

As the new service will also no longer renew automatically, residents will need to manually re-register themselves each year.

Sign up for Ealing's garden waste collection service by June 1
