AN Ealing based food charity is looking to share fruit and veg plants with 10 local primary schools.

MindFood is looking for nominations of schools or summer schools that 'could do with a bit of a lift'.

All schools will be considered, but MindFood feels particularly passionate about partnering with schools which have a higher level of children on free school meals, or under-represented groups.

Programme Director, Lucy Clark, told Ealing Nub News: "We are delighted that the fruits of our Grow Some Share Some lockdown project are ready to share.

"All our veg plants have been grown with love by members of the MindFood family – with some growing them at home, on window-sills, balconies and patios.

"This has been a useful and enjoyable way for us all to nurture better mental health in these stressful times."

To nominate a school, all you have to do is email [email protected] with the name of the school you think should win the fruit and veg plants.

The 10 winners will be announced on Friday, June 4, with deliveries arranged for next week.
