A property in Ealing has been sealed off by the courts following complaints of anti-social behaviour and the arrest of a male for drug-related offences.

Following the execution of a drugs warrant from Ealing Safer Neighbourhoods team at Fielding Terrace, Uxbridge Road, officers arrested one male for drugs offences and also for being wanted by the courts.

As a result, Ealing Council and local officers applied for a closure order for the property which was approved by Ealing Magistrates court due to "large number" of drug related anti-social behaviour complaints.

The studio flat from social housing association, A2Dominion, has now been boarded up by the landlord for three months to prevent anyone from entering.

Police Sergeant Lenton told Ealing Nub News: "This was a joint effort by the police and the safer communities team at Ealing Council, which will bring much needed reassurance to the local residents who have made a number of complaints about drug related issues that have emanated from this address.

"It also sends a clear message that robust action will be taken against those who seek to engage in such unacceptable behaviour. We would also like to thank residents for their support and patience whilst this issue was addressed."

Kathy Riley, Anti-Social Behaviour Manager at A2Dominion, added: "I can confirm that A2Dominion has been supporting Ealing Council and the police to deliver a closure order on a studio apartment in Ealing Common.

"This has been granted by Ealing Magistrates Court. The property will now remain closed for three months.

"We will continue to work with the council and police to listen to the local community and act upon their concerns."
