EALING Council will be hosting a launch event next week – March 3 – in order to give people more information about Future Ealing.

Future Ealing is a council initiative that aims to support residents' ideas to improve the local area, despite the financial challenges being faced, such as Acton Unframed's street art and Ealing Wildlife Group's nature reserve.

As well as focusing on improving the way the council does things, it is about empowering and supporting people to get involved, too.

There is £100,000 in the pot on offer, with a maximum of £10,000 for each project selected.

Anyone who lives or works in Ealing can apply, with the deadline being April 28, but interested parties will need to complete an expression of interest first.

The council will announce the projects that have been chosen to receive the funding at the start of the summer, with the aim of work starting in August.

The fund will provide a maximum of 50% of the cost of a project, with the rest needing to be crowdfunded by those behind the project.
