Ealing Council has asked residents who provide volunteer care for adults to complete survey which they may have received.

The survey runs from 1 October until 30 November and the council will be writing to a sample of unpaid carers for their views on the support they receive.

Councillor Josh Blacker, the Cabinet Member for Healthy Lives, stressed the importance of carers' voices and said, "We want to make sure carers get the best support, and the best way to know is by hearing from carers themselves."

He continued: "The survey results will help us to help you. It is completely anonymous, and you will not be identified in any survey results published."

Survey results will shape local and national support plans and help voluntary organisations provide better services.

Only unpaid carers over the age of 18 will be contacted and the survey will ask questions on a number of topics that have been chosen nationally as indications of a balanced life alongside their unpaid caring role.

A pre-paid envelope is included for survey return. If you need help, contact details for support are in the letter.

Support is available in different languages, larger print, by phone, or in person by contacting Ealing Advice Service at 020 8579 8429 or by text at 07837 186733.

Results will be published nationally in June 2024. Past results can be found at https://digital.nhs.uk/data-and-information/publications/statistical/personal-social-services-survey-of-adult-carers.
