EALING Council has introduced payment charges for new or replacement refuse bins.

Residents who wish to purchase a second refuse bin, or replace one that has been lost or broken, will have to fork out £50 for a standard sized one, or £70 for the larger size.

Bins which are lost or damaged during the collection process will be replaced without charge, however.

Recycling and food waste bins will continue to be provided for free and residents will have the option to request additional recycling bins should they find they need more capacity.

Ealing has the second highest rate for recycling household waste among all 32 London boroughs, with more than 50%.
