Ealing Council have brought back the Ealing Together Fund to offer financial support for ideas to help the community.

The Ealing Together Fund is a total of £50,000 to help crowdfund projects from a resident, group of residents, or a community group to help change the borough for the better.

The last round of funding was in October 2022 and saw a wide range of projects backed: from hedgehog highways to school-based therapy for Children.

Councillor Jasbir Anand is the council's cabinet member for thriving communities and she said: "Come along to the free workshop on 6 March for a chance to hear from the funders and to speak with crowdfunding experts Spacehive about your potential project ideas, and find out all you need know to get going.

"You can gain experience from the previous, diverse range of community projects that have been supported by the fund.

"Whether your project is big or small, this is your opportunity to learn how you can make a real difference in your local area through Ealing Together and bring your idea to life."

Submissions for this round of funding will begin on 6th March, when the council will also run a special workshop to help people get started, and will be open until 26th April before work will begin in July.

There is a total fund of £50,000 for every project that is chosen, with individual project funding capped at £10,000 for physical elements of the project and there is a simplified route for smaller projects which will cost less than £3,000, which will require fewer questions.

The fund is particularly interested in projects which focus on: creating volunteering opportunities to learn new skills, bringing people together to celebrate culture and heritage, improving health and wellbeing, or reducing the borough's carbon footprint.
