Ealing Council confirm funding for rebuild of Stanhope Primary School
Ealing Council have confirmed that they have secured the necessary funding in order to rebuild Stanhope Primary School as part of their commitment to improving education in the borough.
As part of Ealing Council's efforts to offer high quality education to all people within the borough they have approved the funding to rebuild the school in Greenford.
The designs for the rebuild have not yet been confirmed, and the council will now plan that along with the school governors, head teacher, and council education team.
Councillor Kamaljit Kaur Nagpal, cabinet member for a fairer start, said: "I am very pleased that our bid has secured funding for the new design and rebuild of Stanhope Primary School in Greenford, and delighted that this will continue to provide access to good and sustainable schools in the community and invest in education and the future of our young people.
"This is another success story for schools in our borough, we cannot wait to begin conversations on the design of the new school. The re-design will be an asset to the community, as well as enhance and assist pupils in achieving their greatest potential with access to modern state-of-the art facilities.
"Education is one of our top priorities, and the news comes following the successful bid for Northolt High School, where design plans are underway, and we look forward to completion in September 2025."
Due to the size of the site on which the school is built, the rebuild will be carried out whilst the children continue to be taught in the existing buildings, so this will not disrupt their education in any way.
One the rebuild is complete, the current buildings will be demolished.
