Ealing Council confirm Coronation celebrations across the borough
Ealing Council have confirmed several events hosted across the borough during the weekend of the Coronation of King Charles III.
There will be events taking place at Walpole Park, Acton Park, and Northala Fields across the weekend of 6th to 8th May for people in the borough to come together to celebrate.
On Saturday 6th May between 10.30am and 10pm at Walpole Park there will be a full day of celebrations, with activities like a live screening of the coronation, a variety of different musical performances including a choir and a mix of world music, the best of Ealing's street food vendors, drinks and cocktails, funfair rides, and a fireworks display at 9.45pm.
The event is free but has limited spaces, so residents can reserve tickets online to make sure you get a space.
Events at Acton Park and Northala Fields are not ticketed and will take place between 6pm and 10pm where there will be food and drink as well as fireworks.
Ealing Council leader, Councillor Peter Mason commented: "The King's coronation will be a special moment, and a wonderful opportunity for everyone to come together.
"Communities had such a wonderful time celebrating the Queen's Jubilee last year. I hope you will take advantage of the chance to do so again this year to mark this historic event."
Applications for £150 in funding for street parties has closed, but over 190 were received prior to this, so there will be many celebrations across the borough for people to be involved with.
