Returning due to popular demand, Ealing Broadway is set to welcome its free Clothes Swap this weekend.

Locals will be able to donate a range of pre-loved clothes at the pop-up shop next to Flying Tiger on Saturday, 17 February.

All sizes of adult and children's clothing are accepted, providing they are in good condition with no damage.

In return, those that donate will receive a maximum of five tokens to spend on new items on Sunday, 18 February, choosing from the selection which has been donated the day before.

The initiative took place at the centre four times last year and continues to prove popular in providing locals of all ages with a sustainable way to recycle unwanted clothes and update their wardrobes at no cost.

The Clothes Swap Shop is run in partnership with Love Not Landfill and has already seen nearly 4,000 items donated, including tops, jumpers, dresses, and jackets, and almost 3,000 pieces swapped by the local community.

Timings are as follows:

  • Saturday, 17 February from 10am – 4pm: Locals are invited to drop off good-quality pre-loved clothing outside Flying Tiger and receive tokens to spend the next day
  • Sunday, 18 February from 10am – 4pm: Visitors can peruse the donated items, taking home a maximum of five items using the tokens provided the day before

Andrew Rollings, centre director at Ealing Broadway, said: "The response we've had to previous Clothes Swap events has been incredible.

"We want to make this year bigger and better, with even more people donating and swapping pre-loved items.

"Community and sustainability are key priorities for us at Ealing Broadway, and we know people's contributions go a long way to help those in need."
