Today's weather: Highs of 7 degrees and lows of 4 degrees, clear changing to cloudy by lunchtime, according to the Met Office, with wind gusts between 25 – 31 mph.

Met Office news: A deep area of low-pressure moving in from the Atlantic on Tuesday, 7 December, has been named as Storm Barra by Met Éireann for the level of impacts expected for the Republic of Ireland.

Traffic: As of 8am, according to AA Traffic, delays of three minutes and delays easing on A406 North Circular Northbound in London. Average speed ten mph.

Slow traffic on A40 into town between A4180 West End Road (Polish War Memorial) and A4000 Wales Farm Road (Gypsy Corner).

One lane closed due to water main work on A4020 Uxbridge Road both ways at Park Avenue.

Tfl update: Piccadilly Line: No service between Rayners Lane and Uxbridge due to difficult track conditions caused by significant leaf fall. Please use the Metropolitan Line instead. Minor delays between Acton Town and Rayners Lane.
