Today's weather: Highs of 11 degrees and lows of 5 degrees, a largely bright, clear and still day today, according to the met office, with wind gusts between 13 – 4 mph.

Met Office news: The global mean temperature for 2021 (based on data from January to September) was about 1.08 C above the 1850-1900 average.

The world's temperature has reached an average exceeding 1.0 °C above pre-industrial levels for the past two decades: the first time that a 20-year period has reached this threshold since records began in 1850.

Traffic: As of 7:30am according to the AA traffic, warnings of slow traffic on A40 into town from RAF Northolt (Hillingdon Circus) to A4000 Wales Farm Road (Gypsy Corner).

Slow traffic on A406 North Circular Southbound from Queens Drive to A4000 Gunnersbury Lane (Gunnersbury Park).

Severe delays of 24 minutes and delays increasing on A40 Western Avenue Eastbound between B467 Park Road (Swakeleys Roundabout) and Hanger Lane (Hanger Lane Gyratory System). Average speed ten mph.
