Ealing bin collections to return to normal next week
Festive changes to bin collections will continue in Ealing this week before they return to normal on Monday 13 January.
These changes allow for the council to work around the festive bank holidays.
Between Monday, January 6 and Friday January, 24, those who use the black and blue wheeled bins can leave their real Christmas trees on the front edge of their property for collection.
Trees will be collected on the same day as your revised rubbish collection (black bin) each alternate week.
Tree trunks must not exceed 20cm in diameter, or be more than six feet tall (taller trees can be cut in two). Residents are asked to ensure all decorations are removed.
Ealing Council's bin collections this week:
- Bin collections on Monday, January 6, will instead be collected on Tuesday, January 7
- Bin collections on Tuesday, January 7, will instead be collected on Wednesday, January 8
- Bin collections on Wednesday, January 8, will instead be collected on Thursday, January 9
- Bin collections on Thursday, January 9, will instead be collected on Friday, January 10
- Bin collections on Friday, January 10, will instead be collected on Saturday, January 11
- Normal collection schedule resumes on Monday, January 13
If you live in a flat or use a communal bin service you will have to take your real tree to one of the councils parks or open spaces. This runs until Friday 24 January 2025.
