AN Ealing based theatre company will be putting on two performances of King Arthur next week.

A Wonderful Adventure, comprised of George C. Francis and Halie Darling will be performing the play about the legendary king at OPEN Ealing Arts Centre in Dickens Yard on Saturday, June 26.

The pair, who are engaged, told Ealing Nub News that they aim to create innovative productions for the young and young at heart.

"We want to create adventures for people.

"At the same time we also want to have an ethical message within our shows, so that people take away something positive when they leave."

The couple takes great pride in helping teach young kids about good values.

George said: "We often are one of the first productions a young child might watch and we want them to take home an important message, such as to be kind, or to share.

"We are excited to bring the characters of King Arthur, Merlin and their exciting magical world to a brand-new audience, some of which may have their first experience of theatre."

Halie spoke about the show in more detail: "We have chosen to perform a tale about King Arthur and Merlin because legend has it that King Arthur will return when Britain needs him the most.

"And we thought, what better time than during this COVID pandemic.

"We both loved the legend of King Arthur and Merlin since we were children, and we can't wait to pass it on to the next generation."

There will also be a workshop after the play.

There will be two performances, one at 3pm and one at 6pm, with tickets costing £10 for children (including workshop materials) and £7 for adults.
