The curator of Dappled Light Dr Cliff Lauson will on Thursday (May 19) introduce the extraordinary exhibition of works by Rana Begum currently on display at Pitzhanger Manor & Gallery in Ealing.
Bangladeshi born Begum has gained worldwide recognition for her work, which in Dappled Light shows the London-based artist focus on the transient quality of light.
Formerly Senior Curator at the Hayward Gallery and Assistant Curator at Tate Modern, Dr Lauson is now the Director of Exhibitions at Somerset House.
In this private talk hosted at Pitzhanger, his unique insights will shed light on the striking works on display – among which are a large-scale suspended mesh installation, as well as Rana's first video work of a woodland outside her home city and the fugitive light that cycles through changing seasons during a year of lockdown.
The event begins at 6.30pm and tickets cost £10, with a glass of wine included in the price.
