Covid-19 cases increase by 15 per cent in Ealing Borough

There are 136 more infections of Covid-19 than a week ago within the borough.

According to the latest statistics (October 12 - October 18), 1,018 people tested positive in Ealing over the last seven days - 136 more than the week leading up to October 12.

This means there has been an increase of 15.4 per cent, with 273.8 cases per 100,000 people as per the Gov.uk website.

Despite the increase, this is a lower infection rate than both England and the United Kingdom, which is 424 and 423 out of 100,000 people.

However it is higher that the London rate which is currently 237.1, with the daily number of new people who tested positive for COVID-19 reported at 3,806 as of yesterday, 18 October.

Ealing Broadway East and Ealing Broadway West both experienced a decrease of over 26 per cent in total cases, as recorded in the most recent data over the seven days until 13 October.
