Celebrity guests announced for Mayhew's Christmas Concert in Ealing

UK celebrities are set to attend a Christmas concert in aid of animal welfare charity, Mayhew, at St Matthew's Church in Ealing, on Friday 1 December.
The festive concert is to help raise funds and awareness for dogs, cats and communities that Mayhew supports.
Poldark star and long-standing Mayhew ambassador, Beatie Edney, will give a special reading, as well as fellow animal lovers Rula Lenska and Lesley Nicol, best known as Downton Abbey's cook, Beryl Patmore.
They will be joined by This Morning's resident TV vet, Dr Scott Miller BVSc MRCVS and Laura Aikman, known for her roles in Waterloo Road, The Job Lot and Gavin and Stacey.
Known as "the voice of an angel", classically trained soprano Carly Paoli will perform on the night and London community choir, Starling Voices, and children's choir, Little Voices, will each give musical performances.
Commenting on the Christmas Concert, actor Beatie Edney says: "I am very proud to have been invited to join Mayhew at this year's Christmas Concert.
"It's really important at this time of year to give something back and Mayhew's work is a cause close to my heart.
"The concert is sure to be a wonderful start to the festive season, all the while helping the dogs and cats Mayhew cares for every day."
In addition to seasonal music, and celebrity appearances, the concert will include a raffle featuring a prizes, as well as giving guests the chance to enjoy mince pies and festive refreshments before the concert begins.
Sherine Wheeler, Mayhew's Chief Executive, said: "By attending, guests will be contributing to the care, support and love Mayhew gives to the dogs and cats in need who come through our doors, allowing us to continue our vital work.
"We hope people from across London will join Mayhew for what is sure to be a memorable evening."
Guests will also have the opportunity to hear from Mayhew volunteers and the charity's work.
