Brent man, 25, charged with murder of 67-year-old Peter Marecheau

A local resident will appear in court today accused of the murder of Peter Marecheau. 

 

Mr Marecheau, 67, died in hospital on Monday (September 12) where he was being treated for a life-threatening head injury.

The London Ambulance Service notified police on Friday (September 9) that Mr Marecheau had been taken to hospital following an incident on Abbey Industrial Estate, north of Hanger Lane, in Alperton.

Abdelaziz Maaroufi, 25, of Woodside End, Alperton, was arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday (September 12) and later charged.

 

He is due to appear at Willesden Magistrates' Court today (September 14).

Mr Marecheau's family are aware and being supported by specially trained officers.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out in due course.

The investigation is being led by homicide detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command and anyone with information that could assist them in their investigation is asked to call 101 quoting CAD 4804/09Sep.
