A BREAKFAST home delivery business based in Ealing has become a hit with celebrities within six months of launching.
Christina Gomes, 28, is the proud owner of Breakfast Queen London, who deliver luxury breakfast boxes to people's houses.
Gomes, who works full-time in product development, launched the business in May when she saw a gap in the market during the first lockdown.
She told Nub News: "I love breakfast, I would go out and take pictures of my breakfast and post them on Instagram.
"During the first lockdown I couldn't do that however and I saw that there was a gap in the market for breakfast deliveries to people's homes.
"I decided to put a box together during one weekend when I had some free time and see what the reaction would be and sure enough, people were very keen.
"That's when I decided to launch the Breakfast Queen, which for me is quite simply a passion project, something I just love to do."
Gomes who lives in Ealing Broadway with her boyfriend, David Thornton, are the ones who prepare the breakfast boxes and do the delivery themselves on the weekends.
"It can get quite busy but Dave is fantastic and is really artistic, he does all the personalisation on the croissants," she added.
They only deliver on weekends, as they both have full-time jobs during the week and because they have to trek throughout London for deliveries.
Gomes, who is originally from Derby but has lived in Ealing for five years, has got a fantastic response to her business, with nearly 5,000 followers on Instagram and a bunch of celebrity clients, including Love Island contestants Maura Higgins and Molly-Mae Hague, along with X-Factor winner, Alexandra Burke.
"I couldn't quite believe it when celebrities started getting in touch with me, I'm just glad to see we're doing things right.
"Maura has actually ordered from us a couple of times, she got a special box for her birthday a couple of weeks ago too."
Although Gomes is very happy with the company's success so far, she hasn't got any plans to open up a shop.
She said: "The way things are going, businesses do most of their trading online, I'm happy with how things are at the moment.
"At some point I'd love to introduce some merchandise like mugs and pyjamas, but that's for another time."
