BOOTS has opened its vaccination centre at the Westway Cross retail park in Greenford.

It was officially announced two weeks ago that two new vaccination centres would open in Ealing borough, both of which in Greenford.

This comes after weeks of lobbying from the Ealing North MP, James Murray who raised the issue with the NHS and with Parliament, that Greenford and Northolt didn't have any vaccination centres nearby.

Speaking outside the new vaccination centre on Friday, February 19, the Labour MP said: "We have this local centre now, thanks to Boots and the NHS, making it easier for people to get vaccinated.

"When you get an invitation to get an appointment, please book as quickly as you can.

"This is the way that we'll get through this virus."
