Hold on to your hats! Wind speeds in Ealing have apparently reached 13,886 miles per hour (mph).
Well, not really.
The over-zealous prediction is in fact the result of an error with forecast data on the BBC Weather app. The BBC has said that the fault is from a third-party supplier.
The actual windspeed today (Thursday 10 October) is about 4mph.
A statement on the BBC Weather app reads: "We're experiencing issues with our forecast data. We're working to resolve it."
A later message reads: "Sorry, this forecast is wrong due to a data error. Please ignore while we fix the problem."
So, far from 'hurricane force winds', you can expect partly cloudy, albeit chilly weather in and around Ealing today.
Still, we hope this error has given you a chuckle!
For reference, the highest recorded wind speed on earth was at Mount Washington, in New Hampshire, USA (231 mph).
Leaving Earth, the planet with the highest wind speeds is Neptune, where storms can reach up to 1,200 mph.
If the BBC Weather forecast of 13,886mph in Ealing was true, it would be at least 10 times higher than any previous recorded speeds in our solar system. A fair old breeze, to be sure!
