A MAN has been arrested in connection with an alleged failed kidnapping attempt in Northolt.

Police apprehended a 27-year-old man in Surrey on Saturday, January 23, on suspicion of attempted abduction of a child.

On Thursday, January 7, the man is alleged to have approached a five-year-old boy in Northala Fields, Northolt, before picking him up and running a short distance away.

He was confronted by the boy's mother and put the child down, who was unharmed.
