TRYING to decide on a gift for Mother's Day?

Art can celebrate family life in a more imaginative way that plain photographic portraits.

Artist Kate Winskill, who showcases her art at Ealing Broadway shopping centre, has created some cute penguin family portraits that are great gifts for mums and the whole family.

Whatever your family looks like, one baby or six teenagers, one mum or two - Kate can create a perfect selection of penguins, big and small to reflect your group.

Kate uses the images she has photographed of street art and graffiti, plus vintage fabrics which are digitally collaged onto her paintings of penguins.

You can email Kate at [email protected] and select your family grouping to suit your own circumstances and she will design and print to order.

Prices from £50 framed 25x25cm in white, grey or black.

Artist Raph Thomas, who also showcases his art at Ealing Broadway shopping centre, specialises in colourful and often humorous rainbow animal portraits.

He has a series of charming mother and baby animal paintings which are available as limited edition prints.
