Action West London, a community development organisation, has won the Community Investment Award at the West London Business Awards, held on Friday, 16 February at Twickenham Stadium.

This recognition celebrates their innovative Reduce & Recycle Hub, a 'vital' initiative that empowers residents and fosters a more sustainable future for West London.

"We are incredibly proud to receive this award," said Gary Buckley, CEO of Action West London.

"It's a powerful validation of the positive impact our work in the community.

"This award belongs to our dedicated staff, volunteers, and residents who all play a crucial role our success."

The Reduce & Recycle Hub tackles multiple challenges simultaneously.

It diverts tons of waste from landfills by promoting reuse and repair, while also providing residents with access to affordable essential goods and educational workshops.

Action West London say the Hub volunteer opportunities empower individuals with knowledge and fosters a sense of community.

The award win resonates deeply with Action West London's core values, who say It acknowledges their commitment to environmental sustainability, social empowerment and community engagement.

Action West London say winning the Community Investment Award is more than just a trophy.

It provides Action West London with:

·        Increased visibility and recognition

·        Validation and motivation

·        A platform for advocacy
