100 firefighters tackle unexplained blaze in Park Royal

A fire on an industrial estate in Park Royal is under investigation by the London Fire Brigade.

Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters from fire stations in west London rushed to the estate on Abbey Road yesterday (Sunday, November 27).

Smoke could be seen for miles around as crews tackled the blaze.

They had control of the fire by 1:32pm, four hours after the Brigade was alerted.

A range of industrial units were damaged by the fire.

In a statement a spokesperson for London Fire Brigade said: "Fifteen fire engines and around 100 firefighters dealt with a fire on an industrial estate on Abbey Road in Park Royal.

"A range of industrial units were damaged by fire.

"The Brigade was called at 0919 and the fire was under control by 1332. Fire crews from Park Royal and surrounding fire stations were at the scene. The cause of the fire is under investigation."
