The 'home of creativity in Ealing' has a host a new classes and workshops coming up to start off the new year.
From drawing and mixed media to wellbeing practice, there are a range of courses to try out at Open Ealing in 2022.
Here is a selection of upcoming sessions for creative inspiration:
Join Dr Poonam Madar and learn how start journaling and to write without pressure. This four-week course is designed to help you build a gentle, sustainable and realistic journaling practice that you can maintain. Find out more here.Mastering the art of watercolour
Each week Gail leads participants in a technical exercise, on their way to mastering the art of watercolour. Once the exercises are completed you will move on to your main painting and leave the class knowing a little more about the great masters, the techniques they used and how to incorporate them in your own work. The course is suitable for all levels of experience and will incorporate a mix of exercises to develop your technical skills and time to work on your own projects. More info here. Learn how to draw in just five weeks! Sheila Moylan leads a practical course aimed at anyone who wants to learn how to draw, or rediscover their skills. More details here. Learn to make jewellery with Ange B Design. In just two hours you will learn how to carve your own ring or pendant during this relaxed session. More deats here. Once a month Sheila leads a friendly class for anyone who wants some guidance on how to draw the human figure. Click here for details. This unique workshop will give you a mindful experience whilst you create your own personalised Tree Of Life painting. You don't need previous experience to join; just an interest in working with geometric patterns and unleashing your creativity. More information here. Amarjeet will demonstrate how to use wax as a resist to create surface decoration and a medium to change the structure of a surface. More details. No previous experience needed, just an interest in drawing geometric designs by hand. The workshops are suitable for any ability aged 14+ and take place every month. More info here. Join Nick Pearson for an art history lecture on Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Monday 31 January, 6.30 – 8.30pm, £10 per person (including light refreshments).
