Ealing sees slight decrease in Covid-19 cases

Covid-19 cases within the borough of Ealing have dropped by 119 compared to the previous week.

According to the latest statistics (January 4 - January 10 2022), 6,346 people tested positive in Ealing over the last seven days – down 119 cases on the previous week.

This means Covid cases dropped by -1.8% in the last seven days, with a rate of 1,885.8 per 100,000 people as per the Gov.uk website.

Ealing's rate is still just above the England Covid rate, at 1,862.9, and the current London rate of 1,679.8 per 100,000 people.

It is however just below the latest United Kingdom statistic, which is at 1,919.4.

Ealing Broadway East experienced a Covid case drop of 5.5% along with Northfields which had a 12% drop in cases, and Ealing Common & Twyford Ave which had a 14.9% fall, all in the seven days up to 5 January.

However, patients admitted to hospitals in Ealing has increased by 50.4%, according to the latest figures.

Between 27 December 2021 and 2 January 2022, 197 people went into a London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust hospital with coronavirus.

Vaccinations in Ealing

268,482 people, have been given their first dose, making up 68.5% of the borough.

241,857 people, 61.7%, have been given a second dose and 38.8%,152,116 people, have received a booster or third dose.
