Our top pick for this week is FoxMarketW7 at The Fox, Hanwell.

This monthly market outside a pub in Hanwell offers an array of locally produced items with a real community feel.

The event features local artists and illustrators, vintage jewellery and bric-a-brac, hand-poured soy candles and more.

New sellers are lined up for the market this Saturday, including The Wallflower Studio who creates floral designs, transformed into fabric accessories and prints.

You will also find Kyoko of 'blossom bakes' who makes exciting Japanese afternoon tea sets in Hanwell.

Organiser and Hanwell resident, Victoria Williams said to expect a child-friendly and accessible event for everyone.

She said: "It's a real community hub. Most people know each other and many have allotments across the road."

Victoria, whose been coming to the pub since she was a child, said the market has been much busier since being closed over the lockdowns.

She added: "People are shopping more locally now because it's more sustainable, they want to spend more sustainably and there are no air miles associated with the products at our market.

"Lots of people combine their visit with a walk along the canal and going to Warren Farm wildlife reserve."

Victoria will be selling her handmade Christmas and greeting cards on Saturday too, raising money for London Wildlife Protection charity.

The Fox Inn is a free house dating back to the mid-19th century.

The child and dog friendly pub stands near the end of Green Lane, Hanwell, close to the Grand Union Canal.

It was the winner of CAMRA's West Middlesex Best Pub of the Year in 2005, 2007, 2010, 2012 and 2013 and a special Outstanding Achievement award for being in the Good Beer Guide for 10 years.

Look out for the Christmas market coming up on 11, December where the pub will put on their very own Santa's Grotto.
