The author, political commentator, educationalist and contemporary historian Sir Anthony Seldon will be visiting Ealing on Tuesday to talk about his life and expansive work.

He is the latest guest in the 'Pitzhanger Perspectives' series hosted by Pitzhanger Manor, with previous guests including TV presenters Angellica Bell and Konnie Huq who discussed their successful careers in children's television and growing up in Ealing.

Sir Anthony Seldon has written and edited more than 40 books, including the inside biographies of John Major, Tony Blair, David Cameron, Margaret Thatcher and Theresa May.

He has written regularly for national newspapers including The Times, The Sunday Times, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent and The Guardian and is also known for being an honorary historical adviser to 10 Downing Street.

He will also discuss his transformative work in educational roles as a headmaster and vice chancellor, from Brighton College to Wellington College.

His pioneering educational work also leads into the teaching of happiness as the co-founder of Action for Happiness, a global movement and charity based in the UK which aims to increase the happiness of the world.

Pitzhanger Perspectives is a new series of conversations with contemporary thinkers, inspired by Sir John Soane who used Pitzhanger Manor to entertain his wide circle of friends, celebrities and potential clients - bringing together opera singers and politicians, academics and poets at eclectic dinners.

This event will be hybrid so you join from the comfort of your own home or hear Anthony in person at Pitzhanger Manor.

Online tickets (£7/£5) and in-person (£10/£7), taking place on Tuesday, 18 January at 6.30pm.

Visit Eventbrite to book a ticket.
