Filming is taking place this week at Acton Central Station to collect images for a 'virtual 3D tour' of the station.

The filming will take place from 10 am to 4 pm, between Monday 11 and Sunday 17 October.

3D camera and virtual tour software platform company Matterport Inc is carrying out the filming - a company which is apparently 'building the largest digital library of spatial data and information in the world'.

According to Transport for London, they will be creating a 'virtual 3D tour' of the station for internal administrative uses only, such as for safety, training and planning.

All images of customers captured while passing through the station will be automatically blurred to protect their privacy.

They believe this process is within Arriva's (the train operating company responsible for running the London Overground network) legitimate interest to fulfil their business objectives and they do not believe anyone will be 'adversely affected' by this.

Filming will comply with the requirements of data protection responsibilities.

Anyone who does not wish to appear in the virtual tour should notify a member of staff at the station or the Capture Technician.
