EALING filmmaker and music producer has released a song and music video directed at busting Covid-19 vaccine myths.

The song 'Myths' features a music video showing Richard Kofi Baffoe, aka RKB, getting the vaccine himself along to his lyrics that encourage others to also get vaccinated.

The video dropped on Monday (19 September) on Youtube and has already gained thousands of views.

It is Richard's first song and he hopes the video will encourage others, especially younger people, to take the vaccine.

Richard said: "There's a lot of people scared to take the vaccine, but it's about education and if I didn't read into how beneficial it would be then I wouldn't have got vaccinated.

"So I thought, why not share that knowledge so other people will have it too."

He added: "I believe music is a very influential platform, young people don't want to hear preaching but if you can put the same message in music they will listen to it.

"If you can make a music video they will watch it, and that will hopefully grab their attention and get some of the message across at least."

Richard is also the founder of One Place London a film-making social enterprise aimed at building the confidence of young people by giving them a new focus point through filmmaking in Ealing.

The song features young people from One Place London workshops, especially the interludes and the introduction, according to Richard.

He has been working with BAME young people from Ealing since 2017, and over the past year has focused on helping young people come out of the lockdowns through working on film productions.

They have recently shot a drama and crime web series, which will be be released and premiered at the end of the year.
