AN Ealing man has been sentenced to five years in prison for possession with intent to supply class A drugs.

Said Said, 21, of Kingsbridge Crescent, Southall, was sentenced at Maidstone Crown Court on February 11.

On May 30, 2019, officers from Southall Safer Neighbourhoods Team were on patrol in Cranleigh Gardens, when they noticed Said walking towards them.

Upon seeing police, he dropped two large golf sized packages.

The packages were seized and found to contain a large quantity of heroin and cocaine.

Said attempted to escape from the scene but was swiftly apprehended.

He was arrested for possession with intent to supply class A drugs and was taken to Acton police station.

A thorough investigation was conducted, retrieving key evidence from the drugs and other items involved in the investigation, which led to an overwhelming case that could not be denied, resulting in Said pleading guilty.

PC Sabi from Southall Broadway Neighbourhood team said: "This investigation shows the commitment by the Southall Safer Neighbourhoods Team to its community as well as the entire organisation's aim in reducing these serious crimes and improving the lives of the people that they serve."
